1. What is a digital camera?
- A digital camera is something that produces images that can be opened on computers, on a screen and printed.

2. Name and describe 5 common features found in the latest digital cameras on the market.
-Memory: A digital camera stores photos in the actual camera rather then on film. The more memory, the better. You can purchase a memory card, which is removable and has a lot more memory then most cameras holds themselves.
-optical zoom: There are two types of zoom lenses, digital and optical. Digital zoom just enlarges the picture, and optical zoom does more, it creates sharpness and detail.
-Lens: The lens length will decide how much will fit into a picture.
-Self timer: This feature allows for the photographer to be in the photo as well. You just click the timer and run into the picture. Different cameras have different lengths of time.
-LCD Screen: The LCD screen shows what your picture is going to look like, and shows the pictures you’ve already taken, and lets you delete pictures.

3.Insert a picture of three different digital cameras – try to show different angles!

4. What is a megapixel?
A megapixel is one million pixels. A photo is made up of millions of pixels. The more pixels in a photo, the better quality it will be when blown up.

6.What are three tips for taking better photos that you find interesting?
-Framing: Do you need all the background? Can you zoom in or get a little closer?
-Flash: When you have to use your cameras flash, don’t use it against a light colored wall because you will see the shadows of the people/ objects in front of them.
-Camera: Turn your camera on its side when taking pictures of tall buildings or long photos of people. It wastes so much space taking pictures in landscape mode.
